JOB SUMMARY:

Analyze financial information and prepare financial reports to determine or maintain record of assets, liabilities, profit and loss, tax liability, or other financial activities within an organization.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1. Under the general supervision of the Controller or Chief Fiscal Officer or appropriate Finance Department Head, performs general cost accounting, payroll functions, accounting records, and other related duties in daily administration of Finance Department, Accounting Division. May also include grants accounting.
2. Maintains general ledger to include the preparation of journal entries, coding of invoices, accounts analysis and reconciliation, closing books monthly, and setting up new accounts.
3. Performs bank reconciliation monthly.
4. Maintains payroll to include maintenance of records, processing paychecks, computation of payroll liability.
5. Monitors accounts receivables collection from individuals and/or institutions, interfaces with bank..
6. Interfaces with outside computer service for accounting and management data and initiates modifications/enhancements to computerized systems.
7. Assists outside auditors at year-end
8. Performs accounts payable duties such as verifying all invoices for payment, ensuring expenditures are charged to appropriate accounts.

KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:

1. Equivalent to appropriate four-year college degree program.
2. Three to five years' accounting experience plus knowledge of computerized accounting system, ability to work with detail, and good organizational skills.

JOB SUMMARY:

To assist sales and marketing management with communications media and advertising materials to effectively represent the company's products and services to customers and prospects.

Essential Functions:

1. Receives work assignments from marketing communications manager based on current needs, experience of the specialist and specialist's particular strengths in advertising or communications.
2. Meets with appropriate sales or marketing representative to discuss communication needs or participates as a member of the sales and marketing team.
3. Reviews literature in the assigned marketing project, previous marketing materials used in the assignment area, and gathers materials of competitive companies in the field.
4. Researches, writes, develops sketches of supporting graphics, and consults with printing firm representatives on the needs of the particular project. Presents recommendations to marketing manager or committee.
5. Develops direct mail programs, as dictated by the assignment, and monitors roll-out of the campaign and checks for success level at conclusion.
6. Develops draft advertising text and layouts as part of campaign materials and presents to advertising manager for review and approval.

Qualifications:

1. A bachelor's degree in journalism, advertising, or communications. Graduate work in journalism preferred.
2. At least two years of solid writing and editing experience, preferably with industrial products.
3. Superior presentation and analytical skills, plus demonstrated skills to handle a variety of assignments simultaneously.
4. Ability to work under deadline pressure and extra hours if needed on assignments.
